This hotel is showing it's age in some places; e.g. dark furniture in the bedrooms that has seen better days but the beds were comfortable, the mini fridge stocked with fresh water daily, cleaned daily and the bed linen changed at least 3 times in our 7 night stay. I can't complain about that. This was my fifth visit to Egypt and I have to say it's the poorest hotel I've stayed in but, I got what I paid for and we had a lovely time.

The staff were amazing - tried very, very hard to make sure we were looked after however there were some aspects of the service I found a bit difficult to understand. For example, the drinks were all served in small glasses (about 0.30ml) which is something us Brits are just not used to. No amount of moaning, complaining or asking to see the manager made any difference; these are the only glasses they have! I did find a couple of larger plastic cups I'd taken with me and they were happy to fill these up for us; strangely 3 of their small glasses emptied out the glass bottles of beer they were serving from but if I wanted the bottle I had to pay 3$ for it. Go figure! The bar did run out of beer quite a few times and I was left wondering if this hotel had a cash flow problem?

This hotel caters for a number of nationalities and therefore the British taste buds food-wise might not be satisfied - my family and I are very flexible with our food, willing to give things a try and we had no complaints about the food (lots of rice and chicken if I do say so!) but many of the other English people there did complain about it. Having said that I remain at a loss as to what folks expect in an Egyptian hotel for £100 per person, per week all inclusive. The beach bar at lunchtimes provided the best food I think and Hamanda and his staff are willing to provide you with something (e.g. chips) if you can't survive without them! I've stayed in a lot worse European hotels and paid a whole lot more. So think about what you want from your holiday and how much you're willing to pay for it before you book here.

The swimming pools, water slides, beach and pier are fab and I have no complaints about that - clean towels provided everyday and two of the pools have lifeguards. The evening entertainment was a little bit limited and I'm not sure if the children's club was open in the day at all during the whole week we were there but again, nothing more or less than I've experienced in other places. The Chinese restaurant is definitely worth a visit during your stay just to avoid the 'madness' that is the evening restaurant buffet even though you have to pay for your drinks in this part of the hotel, the food comes from your all inclusive allowance.

The wifi is a bit unpredictable and as such the ATM in reception didn't always work. Normally this wouldn't be an issue but this hotel is so far away from the tourist part of Hurghada that there is nothing nearby and you need to get a taxi to outside bars, shops etc. The location of this hotel is what would prevent me from visiting here again - I have stayed in Hurghada before and was disappointed with this hotel's location - perfect if all you want to do is be around a pool or on the beach for your whole holiday but if you intend to see a bit of Hurghada you need to get a taxi - only £15.00 return from the hotel to the Hurghada Marina which is definitely worth a visit - we ate at Dunes and the food was fantastic and so, so cheap. The hotel 'taxi' most probably had no MOT in line with UK standards but we got there and back safely - not really sure where the licenced taxi's were but I'm sure they're about.

At the hotel there is stand that offers a Quad Safari and a glass bottom boat trip - this was sold by Ali who is a nice guy and like everywhere and everyone else, Ali's only making a living. Be polite and tell him if you don't want to be bothered; he'll leave you alone. We did the glass bottom boat trip which was video'd and photographed throughout - initially I found this annoying and knew I'd be 'hassled' to buy the video and photo's - we were and we did - £70. I was a bit annoyed still until we got home and saw the DVD's - so worth the £70 - brilliant trip and brilliant memories - very worth it. I finally got the 'spa' sales people to leave me alone when I told him I just wouldn't be buying a massage; we were on a quick break in the sun before our eldest boy took his finals, with no money for luxuries like his spa treatments. That said, other people we met said their massages were worth the £30 for a 45 minutes treatment. So overall then, this hotel gets an OK from me even though I wouldn't visit it again.

Hotel was very good, rooms were great big and spacious. Only downside, food was repetitive in the main restaurant but could always find something to eat. Had choice of a la carte restaurants with unlimited access which was a bonus, service and food was very good in these but you had to buy your drinks which was not a problem to us. Wine was only available at meal times which was a bit disappointing but not a major problem as if you wanted a bottle they were not that expensive. All in all I would recommend this hotel if you want a good hotel at a reasonable price.

Fantastic hotel to stay at, food is great and very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are huge and housekeepers do a fantastic job keeping them clean. Plenty of sun loungers and a beach at the bottom of the garden.

Rooms very good and cleaned to a high standard. Hotel in general very good but hardly anything open due to lack of tourists. A bit far away from everything and no free transport to Hurgahda or El Gouna, so taxis are a must.
