Fodele village is surrounded by orange tree groves and offers two beaches. One beach is touristy with hotels and a few tavernas and is reached by car and the other is more unspoilt and can only be reached from the village. There are some bars and tavernas but it is not the place to come if you are looking for lively nightlife. The resort is popular with older couples who appreciate the charm of traditional Crete village life.
