Meet the guys who created sunshine.co.uk

Where it all began
The story starts back in 2003... The two Chris's teamed up to build HolidayWatchdog.com - a site that lets people read impartial reviews of holidays and hotels across the world. We built the site in evenings and weekends, working from our spare bedrooms, often working until 3 or 4am and later, then getting up to go to our 9-5 jobs! The site got bigger and bigger... until we eventually sold it to TripAdvisor/Expedia.

And that's when we started on sunshine.co.uk. Teaming up with Alan (the "man behind the internet") we got to work. We wanted to make something that helped consumers - just like HolidayWatchdog.com - but instead of reviewing holidays, we'd sell them. Cheaply. In fact, we'd sell them so cheaply that when most people visit sunshine.co.uk for the first time, they can't quite believe how cheap they are.

And that means we've done our job well. We want to sell you and your family the best possible holidays at the lowest possible prices. If we do that, we hope that you'll tell your friends (this helps push our prices even lower). And if we fall short, we want to hear from you - we'll do what we can to put it right.

So what next?
That's up to you. When we started sunshine.co.uk in 2007, we were just selling holidays themselves. Our customers wanted to book airport transfers and airport parking too, so we've added that in. As a result of a survey we did in Summer 2009 we've added car hire to the site; we'll also be adding holiday insurance in the near future.
