This beautiful and lively village is surrounded by pine trees and set in a clover shaped bay. A 12th Century monastery looks down on the village from the steep hillside and the half a dozen little beaches dotted around the bay. The monastery is definitely worth a visit for the views alone. Visitors can enjoy the many tavernas, shops and small bars which are spread around the village and there is a little port just a five minute walk away.
The resort is hilly and due to the terrain may not be ideal for anyone with walking difficulties.

There are six small enclosed bays around Paleokastritsa and the main one is Agios Spyridon where there is a sandy beach with sun loungers and parasols to rent.
