Le Meridien Penina Golf Resort is located in between the fishing village of Portimao and the Mountains of Monchique. Within the complex there are 3 golf courses so no need to travel if you are a golf lover. Alvor beach is approx 4km away from the complex. There is a shuttle bus that runs to and from the beach seasonally. On the beach there are sun loungers, parasols and a variety of motorized and non-motorized watersports. The nearest town is also 4km away. In the town there are shops, bars, restaurants, local entertainment and a casino to enjoy.

The resort of Alvor is approx 76km from Faro Airport.
