The main activities here revolve around the Esmeralda Beach and the Guardalavaca Beach. You can take coastal cruises, go horse riding and sky diving or simply bob about in a pedalo.

Out and About
On the outskirts of the resort, the nature park at Naranjo Bay offers a good day out where you can swim with the dolphins and watch the daily shows with the sea lions and dolphins.
Nearby you can explore the nature trails, stroll around the cactus garden, visit the mini zoo and the aboriginal burial grounds at the Conuco de Monga Vina.

The city of Holguin ( 58km) has many parks and squares surrounded by historic buildings. See the San Isidoro Cathedral, visit La Periquera museum and admire views over the city and the surrounding countryside from the Mayabe Lookout.
Further around the coast at the Bay of Gibara (50km), you can explore the colonial style fishing town, visit the Museum of Colonial Art and see the ruins of Fort Beria de Fernando VII which held great importance during the slave trade era.
