The hotel is situated 2 km from Hersonissos and 23 km from Heraklion Airport.

The hotel offers 14 freshwater swimming pools within its grounds (1 indoor heated pool, 1 outdoor children's pool, 2 large outdoor pools, 1 open air Jacuzzi, 9 outdoor pools for the VIP rooms and suites, 1 outdoor private pool for the Presidential suite), bridge room, games room, fitness centre, table tennis, mini golf, archery, tennis courts and large screen TV and video room. There is an animation programme where evening entertainment is provided included shows 1 or 2 times a week. There is a work out programmes with fitness instructors (aerobics, aquafit, gym, body firming).

The following facilities are all available with extra charge: sauna, squash, billiards, Turkish bath, jacuzzi watersports (diving, canoeing, windsurfing, water skiing, pedaloes, parasailing, banana rides, rings,) Thalasso programmes at the Royal Mare Thalasso Spa centre.

The hotel also offers first aid, lifeguard, foreign currency exchange, 24 hour room service, guest relations services, taxi service (on request), beach towels (with deposit), organised excursions, laundry and dry cleaning and horseriding centre (22 km away).

There is a daily hotel shuttle service (once a day) to and from Hersonissos (free of charge). There is also a daily bus service to and from Heraklion and Aghios Nikolaos.

For children there is a children's playground, outdoor children's pool, multi-lingual animation team, children's restaurant with special menu, babysitting (on request, local charge) and a recreation and activities program at the mini club (4 to 12 years, 7 days a week, 10 am to 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm to 6 pm.

The hotel offers conference facilities for up to 80 delegates and at the neighbouring Aldemar Knossos Royal Village, there is a conference centre for up to 900 delegates.

Upon arrival guests receive complimentary wine, fruits, flowers, mineral water, slippers and bath toiletries. For guests staying in the VIP bungalow, fresh fruits and mineral water are offered every day as well as afternoon maid service.

Breakfast is served in an American style buffet in the main restaurant between 7 am and 10 am. Dinner is served buffet style in the main restaurant with a choice of three dishes. There are also three buffet theme nights a week. For guests who wish to follow a special dietary meal programme there is breakfast, lunch and dinner served in the Harmonia Diet Restaurant.
