On average the wettest period is late September to October, though still with average high temperatures in the low-seventies.

If you're staying anywhere around Calpe it's hard to miss the Rock of Ifach, the 332 metre rock is a nature reserve and the largest single rock in the Mediterranean, a round walking trip takes about two hours.
Further north along the Costa Blanca coast is the town of Denia; Denia features an impressive 20km of fine sandy beaches and rocky coastline, castle ruins and a tree lined shopping street which is closed to traffic in the evenings, a great spot to people watch from one of the outside bars or ice cream parlours. From Denia it's possible to take the ferry to Ibiza (2hrs 30mins), Mallorca (5hrs 30mins) or Formentera (8 hours).

Benidorm has around 300 restaurants, over 100 cafes and over 550 bars, meaning one thing good competition so low prices and high standards. Dinner and a show is popular here and there are several options around the resort with many offering adult entertainment only. For a more authentic feel visit Benidorm's Old Town, the maze of cobbled streets has inviting traditional restaurants or Tapas Alley found along the covered street of Santo Domingo.
The resort of Javea is split into three areas; Javea Pueblo (the old town), Javea Puerto (the port area), and Playa de Arenal (the main beach area). Wander round the narrow streets of Javea's old town and you'll find plenty of authentic Spanish restaurants and bars serving traditional paella and a great selection of tapas. The port area offers a great choice of alfresco restaurants offering a wonderful array of seafood and paellas served alongside standard international fare.
