The hotel is located 30 metres from Playa de los Pocillos beach, 200 metres from a bus stop, 350 metres from a shopping centre, 2 km from Puerto del Carmen and 8 km from the airport.

The hotel offers 2 swimming pools, 2 children's swimming pools, sun beds, parasols and towels by the pool, children's playground, table tennis, darts, rifle range, French bowls, volleyball, water polo, volleyball, three tennis courts, gym, jacuzzi, sauna, billiards and table football. There is a daily daytime entertainment programme for children and adults and an activities programme at the Hobby-club (several times a week). The hotel provides daily live music and an evening programme of shows. There is a disco (six nights a week), mini club, massage, beauty parlour, hairdressers, shops and Internet access.

The hotel offers a varied buffet for breakfast and for dinner guests can enjoy a hot and cold starter buffet, show cooking with the main course served at the table (vegetarian dish available) and a dessert buffet. There are theme buffets twice a week. Guests can dine in the theme restaurant (reservation required).

The hotel consists of 253 guestrooms and all benefit from private bathroom, hairdryer, telephone, central air conditioning, mini bar, satellite TV, music channel, safety deposit box (local charge) and balcony or terrace (most have sea-view).

The AI programme consists of breakfast 08:00-10:30, Continental breakfast 10:30-12:00, lunch 13:00-15:00 and dinner 18:30-21:30, all buffet style with on the spot cooking stations, served in the main restaurant. During meals alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks are offered. Also at the disposal of the AI guests are special evenings with theme buffet twice a week as well as optional dinners at Ya Shi Ma (Asian cuisine) or Los Jameos (Spanish & Andalusian cuisine or Canarian grill), both available upon reservation, two days in advance. Snacks such as hot dogs, pizza, burgers, etc are available at the pool snack bar between 15:30 & 17:30. Cake time is from 15:00-17:00. Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks are served at the hotel's bars & restaurants within the complex, all day long, till 02:00.

Sport facilities at the hotel include gym, jacuzzi, bio-sauna, mini club, four swimming pools (two of which heated in winter), one pool with children's section, two children's swimming pools heated in the winter, complimentary lounge chairs, sun umbrellas and towels by the pool, children''s playground, ping pong, workout, darts, rifle range, French bowls, volleyball, water polo, beach volleyball, three hard-surface tennis courts, multi-sports court as well as daily daytime entertainment programme for both children (4-12 yrs) & adults, activities programme at the Hobby-club (several times a week), daily live music & Riu evening programme or shows and entrance & drinks to the Disco (open six nights a week).

Chargeable Extras: Tennis rackets & balls, beauty & health centre "Body Love" (physiotherapy, massages, beauty parlour, professional '"wellness'", etc), hairdresser, shops (boutique, souvenirs / kiosk), Internet access at the kiosk, billiards, table football as well as nearby facilities such as windsurfing, scuba diving, 18-hole golf course, horseback riding, mini-golf and bicycle rental are available at a charge.

At check-in guests will receive an AI-bracelet as identification; Clients are kindly asked to keep it during the whole stay. Dress code applies in the restaurant; smart casual clothing, no wet clothes. Check-out time on departure day is 11:00; a courtesy room will be available though.
