Merrills Beach Resort I has an outdoor swimming pool and a sun terrace. There are sun loungers and parasols around the pool and at the beach and further leisure facilities include a playground for children, billiards and table tennis tables. Water sports available at the beach include jet skis and canoes, banana boat rides, diving and sailing.

The bar and restaurant are located by the beach and offers sunset views, buffet service and a Jamaican gala on Saturday nights.

Amenities and services available to guests include a car park, a gift shop, an excursion service, currency exchange, laundry and internet access. Guests may also use the swimming pool and other facilities at the neighbouring sister hotel, Merrills II and Merrills III.

There are 84 guest rooms and suites at the Merrills Beach Resort I, each of which has an en-suite bathroom and a balcony or terrace overlooking the gardens or the sea.

The rooms are equipped with a king-size or double bed, cable TV, a direct dial telephone, a hire safe, a fan and individually controlled air conditioning.

The all inclusive package consists of breakfast, lunch and dinner all served buffet style. Locally produced alcoholic and soft drinks are served with meals and between 10:00 and 22:00 in the bar. Afternoon tea and cakes are also offered daily and there is a weekly beach barbecue.
