Excellent hotel. Very clean, food great, staff helpful, lots of sun loungers and lovely pools, rooms spacious with lovely bathrooms, on the beach. Would say it's more a couples or very young family hotel. Not much for teenagers. Safe in room and well stocked mini bar - no charge! It's also a business conference hotel - conference guests all week but still able to book restaurants. Nightlife ok not great.

I am fortunate to travel a lot with my family and my review here is only intended to help others make an informed decision about this hotel in an area of Turkey where there is a very wide choice of accommodation available. Pick wisely. This is a very expensive hotel and I was expecting great things as promised on the hotel web pages. My two sons (age 10 and 12) enjoyed their stay - me less so - probably because I anticipated so much more. The good things: 1. The food is really varied and excellent both in the buffet and a la carte restaurants. We never had a problem booking the a la cartes although the 'queueing' system at the booking office was dubious to say the least and the staff just served the next person who pushed their way into the chair at the booking desk. I do believe the booking system could be so much better. In contrast to some others on here, I found the service in their restaurants to be excellent. The hotel was very busy when we were there but the staff were as attentive as they could be given their workloads! 2. Drinks were varied and plentiful. Bar staff very friendly and helpful. 3. Rixyclub is great if you have younger kids - the staff here are really excellent and the club has a very varied entertainment programme. 4. We had a 2 bed suite in the main hotel which was surprisingly quiet, the A/C worked well and the facilities were absolutely fine - very comfortable. 5. I really enjoyed the cosmopolitan feel of the hotel with guests from so many different countries represented. The staff spoke a number of different languages and often very well. I had no problem being understood nor understanding. I'm not sure it's at all realistic to expect all of the staff to speak all of the languages used by the guests as there were so many. Certainly it wasn't an issue for us and we managed perfectly well. The 'could do better': 1. I think that Rixyclub is great but doesn't cater for kids over 12. This leaves a bit of a 'gap' where kids can't join in with the 'adult' pool games etc. but the hotel doesn't really have any entertainment for that teen age group. 2. There was absolutely no useful information in the hotel room about the restaurants, the opening times, the entertainment, the spa etc. You are left very much to have to go and find this all out for yourself. 3. The refurbishment has recently been completed and I understand that the hotel is mid high season but there was some very rough finishing in our room and around the hotel as a whole. We had skirting boards falling off in the hotel room and the tap was plumbed the wrong way so that you had to turn on the 'sun' to get cold water and the 'snowflake' to get hot. The room was not particularly clean on arrival or during our stay. We found matches under the children's beds. Our room overlooked the roof of the main link corridor and there were tubes of filler and left over building materials all over the roof. Admittedly this was cleared up towards the end of our stay but it wasn't a great view. The bad: 1. The Wifi is not free as advertised so don't be fooled. The first device is free to connect thereafter it is 75 dollars per week per device. Not ideal if you want to try to keep in touch with work or home. The hotel tell me they started charging last year and honestly it infuriated me to have to pay extra to download the odd email. I could not even buy a new book on the kindle! I do understand the reasons for the charge is to try to limit the usage (or maybe it's really just to generate more income for the hotel) but we booked a 2 bedroom suite for 4 of us and to have only one device allowed to be connected for a 2 bed suite during this time was really frustrating. Guest relations asked me to email the general manager and gave us Stefano Capaccetti's email address. Two emails sent and no reply. The complete lack of reply or even an acknowledgement of my email really made me feel like a second rate guest. 2. My other 'comment' to guess relations was the inappropriateness of some of the music being played. Suffice to say that the unedited versions of songs feature frequently and I appreciate that the lyrics might not be understood by many staff and guests but to any English speaking guest there it was really quite offensive and totally inappropriate. Thrift Shop (as an example) was played several times a day - the unedited version that wouldn't be allowed on the radio in the UK. The music at the Troy Waterpark was even less appropriate. Just be aware, particularly if you have kids. I quite enjoyed the stay but I don't feel it's particularly good value for money and it could really, with a bit of refinement, be so much better. I certainly did not feel like a valued guest at this hotel. Its a shame because my two sons quite enjoyed everything on offer here and it could have been somewhere we would have happily returned to although I would love to return to Turkey and to Belek.

Amazing food! The pool area could be updated. The majority of guests are Russian and can be rude, but that's no fault of the hotel.
