Room wasn't cleaned properly, the advertised minibar was just one bottle of water a day for two of us a day. Twice we had no towels in room and after ringing reception it took 45 minutes to bring the first time and on second after two and half hours we still had no towels so off to reception I went complaining. Food was terrible, some days just had bread or went out to eat. Only a few staff spoke English and the service was very slow. All I seemed to do was complain to the reception and customer relations but they were little or no help. Again their English was poor so I don't know if they didn't understand or just ignored us. This hotel does not cater for English, it was the worst holiday I have ever had. I could go on and on about the negatives, the holiday was a nightmare from start 'til end. Definitely not 4 star hotel and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Although the Grand Plaza is advertised as a 4 star it's really only a 3. Having said that you get what you pay for, we had a really good deal and couldn't complain. The food is ok, not great. Rooms and bathrooms in need of refurbishment, bathroom needed a very good clean. On the upside the pool was absolutely fantastic, staff at the pool bar work really hard. The beach is lovely with plenty of sun beds. Would we stay there again, probably not.

Lovely hotel - with beautiful pools and a private beach area. Plenty of good quality sunbeds - in both full sun and shade, as per your own preference, never an issue finding a well-placed bed. Beach towels were provided and these were great quality and big enough to cover your entire bed. These could be changed throughout the day if necessary. Some daytime animation, which wasn't too intrusive for those of us who prefer not to be bothered The animation team worked very hard to make a connection with all guests and always seemed to have a smile for everyone. There was evening animation every night, but we didn't bother with this, so can't comment.

The staff generally throughout the hotel were lovely, friendly, approachable, genuinely keen to help make our stay special if they could. Worthy of special mention is Ayeman, who mans the poolbar: he always had a great smile and lots of laughs - and took time to make conversation with all his customers. We happily sat at the swim up bar most days to have chat with him - and enjoy the cold beers he kept flowing for us of course, we feel we've made a new friend. The bar staff in both bars were friendly and happy to serve and in the restaurant, we were met with so many smiles, 'hello's', and offers of assistance that we felt very welcome. Our cleaner, Khalid, was very keen to please - and left towel sculptures everyday (some of them a little bizzare - like the smoking cobra, haha), though a tip to other guests is to ensure you place your Do Not Disturb sign on your door, as the cleaning starts quite early and you may get a knock on the door earlier than you'd like.

Our room was comfortable, large, bright and always very clean, plenty of clean white towels everyday - and when I asked for a different pillow, this was waiting in our room when we returned. We had a sea view room - and it was worth the little extra for that great view. I did see one of the suites too - and I would say that these looked huge and had a full bath rather than just a shower. Hot water was plentiful - and the shower had plenty of room an was powerful enough. Free aircon, free safe and water provided in the fridge everyday.

Food in the All Inc buffet restaurant was as you'd expect. I always think it's difficult to provide sufficient variety everyday, catering for everyone's needs, without getting repetitive - but they did a decent job and everything was of good quality and well presented. I would say that if your children are of the chicken nuggets-pizza-chips everyday kind, they may be disappointed, as the food was more adult and local.

Location-wise, it's quiet - there isn't a lot outside the hotel (though we did find a few nice little bars and restaurants - and would recommend the Nubian Egyptian Bar, a couple of minutes walk from the front of the hotel). Was this the best All inclusive ever? Probably not, but did it offer a great relaxed stay, at really good value and service with a smile and - would we stay there again - then it's a big yes.

Lovely clean hotel, rooms and all public areas kept clean and litter free. Pools amazing. Plenty of sun loungers on beach and pool areas. Staff brilliant couldn't do enough for us especially in the dining room. Location of hotel quite good as only short taxi ride to new marina in one direction and downtown the other.

The staff are excellent and go out of their way to ensure we had a great time. Rooms and facilities are kept very well and the animation team work well to encourage everyone to enjoy themselves.
