The small picturesque village of Valldemosa offers narrow cobbled streets, tucked away in the middle of the Tramuntana mountain range. There are a number of cafes, restaurants and gift shops, and the main reason for day trippers to the village a 14th century monastery. Valldemosa village is around 6 km away from the coast where the Port de Valldemossa also known a Sa Marina features a small mooring, a restaurant and a stony beach 90-metres in length and just 15-metres wide.

Valldemossa is renowned for its 14th century Carthusain Monastry, where during the winter of 1838-1839 Frederick Chopin and George Sand once stayed.
An ideal base for enjoying the great outdoors, with plenty of walks and cycling routes, there are two riding stables within 15 km and also the Son Termens 18-hole golf course which is approximately 10 km away.
There are several charming villages to be found in this area of Majorca, many with cobbled lanes, sights and historical buildings of interest, such as the former residence of Robert Graves which has now been transformed into a museum found in Deya.
The stately estate of Jarndines de Alfabia is found just outside Bunyola, historically the home of the Arabic Viceroy of the island, it displays a fine example of Moorish garden design where the emphasis is on water and irrigation.
