Sa Coma is very quiet but has a lovely beach, all the bars and restaurants are closed by midnight. There isn't an awful lot for kids to do in the resort.

We were very lazy on our break but if you want there's plenty to do. Loads of sightseeing trips, activities of all kinds, electric buggies and scooters for juniors, horse rides. Our single trip was by coach through the northern mountains to Soller, absolutely brilliant, very well organized and though it may look quite expensive at £55 you do get a tour guide, boat trip, tram and train trip and you're out for the whole day. It's only on Tuesday and Fridays so booking up early is advised. Overall we'd come back without hesitation. It's a great place for all types of holidaymakers.

Quiet, clean, easy to get about. Lots of places to eat and drink and "shop" but we were "all-inclusive" so didn't try them. Sunbed hire on the beach overly-expensive.

Lovely long beach, beautiful sand, shallow water. Not a stone in sight and very clean.
Nightlife bit quiet, but ideal for families. Food good prices.

The Sa Coma resort is ideal for anyone preferring a flat area with a long promenade. There is a good variety of shops and supermarkets where one can spend hours browsing and spending. There is no shortage of things to do. You can hire all types of wheeled equipment such as bicycles, scooters, four wheeled cycles for all the family, Segway transporters, and small battery powered cars for children of all ages. There is a good bus service if you want to travel about, and of course horse carriages if you want a more sedate mode of travel. The area has a very good supply of cafes and evening entertainment.

There is a lot going on within walking distance. Very good if you struggle with the local language as there are a lot of British shops, though if you rather have a more Spanish experience it may not be the best place. The sea views are astonishing if you walk towards Cala Rajada.

Mainly a tourist area, many tourist shops selling all sorts of things, not many designer type shops that you get in Palma and some other resorts. There seems to be some nice looking restaurants but I cannot comment on the food as we were all inclusive. I would go back to Sa Coma as I enjoyed my stay there. John Meritt.

Friendly quiet family resort. Been 6 years on the trot for a chill out holiday with just enough to do for the more active people. We went fishing in the storm drain which was fun but you can go on boats and banana boats. Parascending or glass bottom boats also pedalos and loads of bars and restaurants.

Sa Coma is the victim of the All Inclusive syndrome. Have visited Sa Coma several times over the years but have noticed that there is a definite lack of nice bars to sit and watch the world go by. Restaurants mainly chips with everything. Would still visit Sa Coma again just to stay at the Marfil Playa.

Not for us - British bars with 'Full English', Sunday Roast', and 'Whitby Fish and Chips' - no decent authentic Spanish restaurants, and an ugly concrete purpose built resort.
We checked out of the hotel and moved to a different resort after 3 days

Ok resort with nice beach, walkways, good bus service but only a few bars mainly German owned or run, with TV channels and waiter service in German. This was disappointing as it would have been good to hear Spanish spoken and not German 99% of the time. Not a place I would go back to, sorry.

Sa Coma is a good party location. The beach is great with loungers and shades available for hire. Good resort for families as the beach slopes very gradually into the sea. Several water activities are available. Good selection of shops and supermarkets. Good selection of tours to occupy couples and families alike. Many modes of transport available to hire from quad cycles to horses and carts. Good bus and boat services also available. Overall a good lively holiday resort.

The beach

The Sa Coma beach is almost one kilometre in length, with soft white sand that gently slopes in the clear shallow water. Sun-loungers and umbrellas are available to hire, and the beach is backed by a pedestrianised promenade which stretches down to the south of S'Illot.

Things to do

Golf Paradise in Sa Coma offers 54-holes of crazy golf, set in tropical gardens, and on the outskirts of the resort is the Auto Safari Zoo, an enjoyable day out for families, where you can drive yourself around the park or travel on the zoo train.

The nature reserve of Punta den'Amer is situated between the resort of Sa Coma and Cala Millor, a popular walk with an easy to follow path takes you to a 17th-century watchtower where you can relax at the café and enjoy the coastal views.

Nearby attractions

For the serious golfers there are two exceptionally good championship golf courses in the area, Pula is the closest with 18-holes and Golf Son Servera which has 9-holes.

A popular attraction is the Caves of Drach in Porto Cristo. Home to a large subterranean lake 177-metres long and 30-metres wide, where daily classical music recitals are performed, it features many caverns with beautifully formed stalactites and stalagmites.

Also in Porto Cristo is the Jumaica Tropical Park, a popular choice with families for the mini zoo where children can enjoy the birds and small animals.
