Things to Do

If you enjoy water sports then S'Algar is the place to be. There is the opportunity to try your hand at various water sports including water skiing, windsurfing, jet skiing and of course diving. There are so many underwater caves and coral reefs to explore.

Boat trips are also popular and can be a great way of seeing other resorts or the many secluded coves and beaches in the area.

There is a mini train that runs round the resort in the evening, during the summer months.

Out and About

There are only 2 restaurants in the resort and a bar but nothing in the way of nightlife. Entertainment at night times is mainly centered around the hotels and generally stops around midnight.

Shops in the resort are quite limited too but you should find everything you need. There is a large supermarket in nearby Sant Luis.

Mahon is not far away and bursting with shopping, dining and entertainment venues.

Nearby Attractions

The Menorca Zoo is situated on the road from Alaior to Mahon and features a selection of animals including goats, horses, cows, deers, emus, snakes and a large variety of birds. There is also a shop, picnic tables and play area here.

Not only does Ciudadella have a great selection of shops and restaurants, there are also many historic things to see such as the 14th century gothic cathedral, a couple of museums and the remains of the fortified walls. For the perfect end to your day, venture down to the harbour for a drink and enjoy the atmosphere.

The capital, Mahon also has it's fair share of historic buildings such as La Mola, a gigantic fort which is located at the harbour side and the Baroque church of Santa Maria to name but a few.
