Not keen on the local beach as over populated and busy. Town was ok. Lots of restaurants etc. Some parts very Greek which is always wonderful to see.

We found that the season hadn't started in Pefkohori. Nothing to do, empty bars and restaurants, but the Greek people were friendly. I am an animal lover and found all the stray cats and dogs very upsetting as some of the cats were starving.

Plenty of good tavernas especially Makis in the old town square, Syntrivani on the main road, a food restaurant or takeaway with excellent service and menu, and Odessyus Place near the pier on the sea front (been there for about 20 years or so). All good value in price and food quality. Many other tavernas and bars. Tony's Bar is very efficient and friendly. This was our 7th visit in 25 years and although the sandy beach is course sand, it is reasonably good. Plenty of supermarkets - the big one on the right as you enter the town from the north is probably the best. Negatives are: Its a long way from the airport and very many Slavs holiday there - no problem.

We were in Pefkohori at the end of May which is still not properly the start of the season so it was very quiet. The people we met in the restaurants though were all very friendly and the food good. I would imagine Pefkohori to be quite busy and lively in peak season.

There were no proper restaurants within the resort, it was all fast food. In general the resort was not clean, there was overflowing rubbish bins all over the place. Unlike other Greek island resorts the people were not as friendly, polite or accommodating. Been there but will not be returning.

It is safe to say that we will never visit Pefkohori again. The town itself it overcrowded and tacky. There are so many other nice beaches nearby that I wouldn't recommend coming to the beach here. We did find a nice local Taverna (away from the main area) and some nice quiet bars at the end of the bay, this wouldn't be enough for us to go back. Ever!

Although there are lots of restaurants, most offer the same menu which is the same whichever place you choose to eat in. You must visit Paul's Place in the Old Town, by far the best place to eat and it is in a lovely picturesque square. There is not much to do for toddlers age 2-3, no water park or zoo or decent playground. It is not really a British resort and mainly visited by Serbians and Russian Tourists so it tends to cater for them.

Pefkohori a nice village with lots shops and restaurants, long village beach. Just outside the village you will find lots of nice beaches, just turn left off the road and they are there. Been many places in Greece and really liked Halkidiki area and will go back.

I have been going to this resort for over 25 years and love it. However the resort is in decline as there are now no large English tourist companies that serve this resort. The English and European visitors used to spend money eating out and in shops. Now most visitors are Eastern European who spend little money in the resort.
