New York is a large state, with many of its visitors heading mainly to the great lights of the Big Apple.
New York City is known for its hot and humid summers, where the temperature usually reads around 85ºF, but the humidity can make it feel well over 100ºF and is also subject to severe and frequent afternoon thunderstorms. Though during the summer months there are plenty of reasons to visit the city of New York, including Macy's 4th of July Fireworks display, outdoor concerts and art exhibits.

The state of New York is also home to the Niagara Falls and the Hamptons on Long Island, the popular holiday retreat for the rich and famous.
