Marmari itself is quite quiet, but absolutely beautiful. There are local shops and supermarkets as well as some bars. There is a water park close by and it is a short trip to Kos town where you can sight see.

Not loads to do and fairly quiet area, but that is what we wanted so we were quite happy. There are a couple of beaches and some water sports. We didn't explore too much. We were looking for a quiet and relaxed holiday and that is what we got, so we were quite happy.

Holiday Date:7th Jul 2016
Accommodation:Caravia Beach Hotel
Room:Double Or Twin

Marmari is a small village with not much in the way of nightlife. There is a small shop fairly close and a good supermarket about a 20 minute walk away. It is an ideal place if you want a quiet beach holiday and are happy to enjoy the hotel facilities with entertainment in the evenings provided by the Animation Team. There is a bus if you want to explore Kos town in the day time. The beach is beautiful.

We loved Marmari, the beach is fantastic and if you wish you can hire 2 sun beds and umbrella for 6 euro. The sand is soft and gently slopes into the sea, no shingle or rocks. There are two large supermarkets, plenty of car, moped and bike hire places - all very competitively priced. Regular bus service to Kos town for 2 euros per person each way. There are numerous tavernas and bars to chose from, although the area is quiet, this was perfect for us. We would definitely return to Marmari.

Holiday Date:9th Jul 2014
Accommodation:Caravia Beach Hotel
Room:Double Or Twin - Economy
Board:All Inclusive
(4 suns)

It is a very quiet place with a few bars quite a distance from the hotel. If you want a lively place, this is not for you. We just wanted peace and quiet. Some guests took a bus into the town Kos and others went out on coach trips or hired cars. There is a place to rent bikes. We walked for about twenty minutes and discovered a fantastic supermarket which sold most things, especially gifts to take home. It was advertised as tax free, so everything was way cheaper than the hotel shop and the small supermarket nearer to our hotel.

The beach is beautiful white fine sand. There is seaweed at the start when you go into the sea but then it is ok. There is a wind surfing school. Sometimes it does get rather windy and then the sand blows in your eyes and stings.

Holiday Date:11th Jun 2014

Marmari quiet but nice beach.

Holiday Date:24th May 2014
Accommodation:Aslanis Village Hotel
Room:Double Or Twin - Garden View
Board:All Inclusive

Hotel is fairly isolated but perfect for a relaxing couples stay. Walkable into villages in either direction. Marmari is small and not many bars/shops. Tagkaki, next village (one hour walk) is bigger and has more for tourists. 2 euro bus journey to Kos Town which is a must on at least one day.

Holiday Date:6th May 2014
Accommodation:Aslanis Village Hotel
Room:1 Bedroom Apt - Garden View
Board:All Inclusive
(4 suns)

Marmari as a resort was quiet where Aslanis Village hotel is situated but as it was early May it may be more lively at the peak of the season.

Holiday Date:10th Sep 2013
Accommodation:Nina Beach Hotel
Room:Double Or Twin - Garden View
Board:Half Board
(2 suns)

Marmari as a resort was disappointing with only a few shops and restaurants/bars. Tigaki is about 4 kilometers from the Nina and is a larger resort with lots of shops and restaurants, however there are no buses into this resort. The bus for Kos runs hourly.

Holiday Date:28th Aug 2013
Accommodation:Caravia Beach Hotel
Room:Double Or Twin - Promo
Board:All Inclusive
(3 suns)

The beach is amazing which we loved. Miles of soft white sand. But the wind whipped up and we had to leave the beach as the sand blew in our eyes and stung our arms. There is a wind surfing school right next to the hotel's private beach, so Marmari can be windy, but it is a warm wind. There is nothing in the resort apart from the hotel but a bus stops outside the hotel if you want to go to Kos town. If you want peace on a beach then this holiday will suit you. We loved it.
