Not worth so much money. No good service and quality food. Disappointed. No good sea as it is deep.

Nice place to go. Boutique shops for fashionistas, restaurants, bars and luxury yachts in marina. Millionaires playground you may spot the odd celebrity.

Holiday Date:16th Aug 2015
Accommodation:Hilton Bodrum Turkbuku Hotel
Room:Double Or Twin
Board:Ultra All Inclusive
(5 suns)

Short taxi ride from hotel between 25-30 Turkish lira definitely worth a visit. Also bus from hotel to Bodrum town centre a must.

Holiday Date:25th Jul 2015
Accommodation:Voyage Turkbuku
Room:2 Bedroom Villa
Board:All Inclusive
(5 suns)

Voyage is out of the way of the main resort but only 2 lira on the dolmus to Turkbuku and 7 lira to Bodrum. We didn't feel the need to leave the resort too much due to the quality of food and facilities provided.

Beaches

To the western side of Golturkbuku Bay lies Turkbuku Bay which has a sandy beach as well as a narrow gravel beach with luxuriously furnished sunbathing docks and water-sport jetties which extend from the high class restaurants and beach clubs. To the eastern side of Golturkbuku Bay lies Gulkoy, which has a coarse sand beach and many wooden sunbathing platforms over the water.

Things to Do

For greenery and seclusion, stroll out towards Kesire Point at the tip of the Turkbuku side of the bay or, on the eastern side of the bay, head towards Sapli Point.

Take to the crystal clear waters, swim, snorkel, sail or canoe; there are dozens of landing stages around the bay with bars and restaurants for refreshments. Chill out at one of the luxury beach clubs or hire a jet ski or motor boat; venture out into the bay where the yachts moored and around Almond Island.

There are harbours at both sides of the bay from which you can take a boat trip along the coast or to one of the idyllic little coves, such as Paradise Cove which is totally secluded between pine clad hills.

Out and About

Popular with celebrities and the jet set, Turkbuku bay has a great nightlife and high class restaurants but, as it is a place to be seen, you can expect it all to come with a bit of a price tag.

Golkoy bay is non-pretentious and is backed by more traditional and family run cafes and restaurants. In the evenings, the ones on the beach replace the sun loungers on the pontoons with dining tables and chairs, creating a stunning setting for your meal or drink.

The weekly markets are held in Turkbuku on Mondays and in Golkoy on Tuesday mornings.

Nearby Attractions

Bodrum (20km) is easily accessible via the local minibus services (day and night in high season) and here you can explore the historic streets, go shopping for gifts, browse the markets, enjoy the nightlife, stroll around the prestigious marina and explore St Peters Castle.
