Glyfada was a great place to stay. Transport links (trams) to Athens and the popular sites very easy to use. Glyfada had numerous places to eat to choose from and the town was clean and we felt safe walking even late at night. The public beaches are not the golden/silver sand that might be available at private beaches, but the water and beach were clean and perfect for swimming. Shopping in Glyfada was excellent with all the main designer shops and more, it is not called "The Beverley Hills/Knightsbridge" of Athens for nothing. Great fun, definitely recommend this hotel and town if wanting to see the historic sites without the hassle of staying in the city.

No attractions by hotel (Palace Hotel Glyfada), no restaurants, no shops or pubs within walking distance, transport required to get to local shopping town. If you can walk it takes about 20 minutes to get into Glyfada. Local transport is very good.
Best place in Attiki.

The beach at Glyfada is sandy and is popular with those seeking to head out of Athens for the weekend and during the Summer months.
