The beach

Cala Bona has three beaches, the two main beaches are mainly sandy with areas of shingle and both are around 300-metres in length and 40-metres wide. Facilities on the beaches are good with sun-loungers and parasols for hire, lifeguards in high season and a number of bars and restaurants along the pedestrian promenade. There are no watersports available, however neighbouring resort of Cala Millor offers many varieties and there is a diving school found by the harbour in Cala Bona.

Things to do

There are a variety of leisure boats which operate from the harbour offering scenic trips in glass bottomed boats to resorts along the east coast such as Cala Ratjada, Calas de Mallorca and Sa Coma.

Just outside the resort of Cala Bona is the well established riding stable of Rancho Willy, offering short treks to over-night adventures.

The nature reserve of Punta den'Amer is situated at the southern end of Cala Millor, with a well-defined 1.5 km path it's a great hiking trail, a hike to the 17th-century watchtower takes around 45-minutes.

Out and about

Getting around the resort is easy thanks to its pretty palm tree lined promenade which runs from the harbour and along to neighbouring resort of Cala Millor, lined with shops, bars and restaurants its an enjoyable walk which takes around 20-minutes.

If you prefer you could take the mini-train which travels along the main road with various stops along the way travelling to Costa de Los Pinos in the north and southwards to Sa Coma. Alternatively there's a regular bus service and plenty of taxis available.

For golfers there are two exceptionally good championship golf courses in the area, Pula is the closest with 18-holes and Golf Son Servera which has 9-holes.

Golf Paradise in Sa Coma offers golf of a different kind with 54-holes of crazy golf, set in tropical gardens. Another attraction close by is the Auto Safari Zoo, an enjoyable day out for families, where you can drive yourself around the park or travel on the zoo train.
