Beaches

The beach at Cala'n Forcat is quite narrow and it's sandy shore gently slopes down into the calm turquoise waters. The beach is accessed via steps so may not be suitable for wheelchair users and those with pushchairs. There are no facilities as such on the beach but there are some bars and shops in the resort which is just a few minutes walk away.

There is a good sandy beach, lined with palm trees in neighbouring Cala'n Blanes.

Things to Do

Watersports are popular here and there is a dive centre which provides equipment. Sailing, water skiing, waterpolo and even tennis are also popular.

There is a mini train that runs through the town and there is a small waterpark which is ideal for families with small children.

Out and About

There is a good range of restaurants here and you can get just about anything, ranging from traditional Spanish cuisine to typical British dishes so everyone should find something to their liking. With other resorts being so close there are many other dining options close by.

There are also plenty of bars, many of which offer entertainment in the way of live music or karaoke and plenty of nightclubs so your night does not need to end too early.

There are not many shops to speak of in the resort but you will be able to get essentials and perhaps a little souvenir to take home. The nearby Ciudadella has an abundance of shops so it is worth a day out for a wander round the shops.

Nearby Attractions

There is another water park in Cala'n Bosch that is probably better suited to older children as it has better slides but it is still a good day out for all the family.

Not only does Ciudadella have a great selection of shops and restaurants, there are also many historic things to see such as the 14th century gothic cathedral, a couple of museums and the remains of the fortified walls. For the perfect end to your day, venture down to the harbour for a drink and enjoy the atmosphere.

The capital, Mahon also has it's fair share of historic buildings such as La Mola, a gigantic fort which is located at the harbour side and the Baroque church of Santa Maria to name but a few. Many people come to Mahon to shop and will certainly not be disappointed. There are many bars and restaurants and nightclubs too, so it may well be worth saying over to take full advantage of what Mahon has to offer.
