Only 2 hotels in area, family orientated. 10 minute walk took you to small complex with shops, restaurants. Enough for us but not if you want to be in a resort or near the beach. £10 in taxi took you to S'arenal.

Puig de Ros is approx 20 minutes drive from the airport. We struck lucky with our coach transfer as we left as soon as we boarded, heading straight to the hotel. A taxi wouldn't have saved us any time. A tip for anyone with an early morning flight home, get a taxi to the airport instead. It'll cost around €30, but at least you're not getting picked up by coach in the early hours of the morning. It took approx 1 hour 20 minutes to get back to the airport due to the pickups (drunken pickups too!) in El Arenal.

Getting around: There is a bus stop right outside the hotel where an hourly bus service runs from Tolleric to Palma. Be warned, it can get very busy, so make sure you're out early to beat the queues. A return ticket for 2 people to Palma costs €11.80 and takes approx 45 minutes. There are also taxis parked outside and the hotel has it's own car rental service.

Cabo Blanco is a quiet residential area. There are some lovely bars and restaurants. Our favourite bar is the El Jardin in the Maoris commercial centre. There is a paper shop and a small Chinese mini market. I suggest a walk to the Rock Pool area. Ask reception for directions it's about 10 minutes away. A beautiful place to visit.

Hotel is in a residential area. There are a handful of bars/restaurants nearby. The bus stops outside the hotel to El Arenal and Palma so not too much of a problem.

Apart from 2 restaurants and 1 bar that plays the football there is nothing at the resort. It's 15 bus minute journey from a proper town which is very Dutch/German orientated apart from 2 English bars that show the footy. The beach is a 20 minute walk away but it's quite a steep walk.

Not anything to do outside of the hotel that doesn't require a bus journey. But again, the bus only costs 2 euros per person and the beach at El Arenal is lovely.

There is not a lot in the resort of Puigderros/Maioris where the hotel is situated, the rocky beach is a fair walk with a pretty steep hill to climb on the way back, there is a supermarket one way and a few shops the other. The bus couldn't be more convenient to S'Arenal and Palma, it stops right outside the hotel and is only 1.50euro. Only check at the bus stop back for the return bus or you'll be waiting in the heat a while, as buses seem to be 1 hour and 10 minutes after the previous one and longer on Saturday and Sunday. There is a very long beach at S'Arenal and an aquarium and waterpark too.

Lovely resort. Beautiful views. Off the beaten track a little but so easy on the bus to get around. Could do with a few more shops and bars and definitely an ATM within easy reach. Other than that we love it here.

Cabo Blanco itself does not have a beach, there are steps down to a rock platform but the trip down is not for the feint hearted. We were happy to stay at the pool which was fantastic.

There isn't a lot around, it is mainly residential. We did pass some little centres whilst on the bus but I would guess they would be too far for a little stroll. The bus is really good, the drivers are really helpful and it's not very expensive, In around 40 mins you can be in El Arenal which has a variety of shops, restaurants, a market Tues am and a lovely beach. Also at El Arenal is Aqualand water park which is great fun.

Having gone in October the water park was closed so can't rate it. Good daily bus service into Arenal and Palma. Spectacular views.
