Nearby beaches

There are plenty of beaches to discover in the surrounding areas reachable by car in a relatively short time. Alternatively the beaches at Puerto de Soller can be accessed via the scenic Soller train, changing onto the Soller tram, where you will rewarded with a picturesque bay featuring two sandy beaches.

Taking the train in the other direction takes you into the city of Palma which does have its own small stretch of sandy beach, from here a short bus journey can take you to some of the more popular neighbouring sandy beaches.

Things to do nearby

The Palma-Soller railway line which conveniently stops at Bunyola is a must do for visitors to the area; it takes a very scenic journey on a narrow gauge track with vintage carriages, a very pleasurable and popular tourist attraction. Once in Soller you can extend your trip onto Puerto de Soller, where a vintage tram connects with the arrival of the train.

There are several charming villages to be found in this area of Majorca, many with cobbled lanes, sights and historical buildings of interest, such as the Carthusian Monasater in Valldemossa and in Deya the former residence of Robert Graves which has now been transformed into a museum open to the public.

A few kilometres outside the village of Bunyola is the estate of Jarndines de Alfabia, historically the home of the Arabic Viceroy of the island, it displays a fine example of Moorish garden design where the emphasis is on water and irrigation.

An ideal base for enjoying the great outdoors, with plenty of walks and cycling routes, there are two riding stables within 10 kms and also the Son Termens 18-hole golf course which is approximately 8 km away.
