Beaches

There is a small beach down near the golf course or, if you follow the coastal path around you will discover plenty of coves and rock pools.

Things to Do

Play a round of golf at the 18 hole Buenavista Golf Course and enjoy beautiful views towards the Atlantic Ocean and the impressive Massif de Teno. There is also a driving range, chipping green, putting greens, pro-shop and golf school. The clubhouse has panoramic views from its picture windows and terraces and there is also a restaurant and a Spa.

To the south of the town lies the fertile El Palmar Valley and the heady heights of the mountains in the Teno Rural Park. Discover tiny mountain villages, such as Masca; visit the Masca Museum and follow the walking trail down through the gorge to the secluded Masca Beach below.

Out and About

Hopefully you're not counting calories whilst on holiday but, if you are, grab the biggest calculator you can find and visit the El Aderno cake and chocolate factory. Heavenly cakes and pastries, divine mousses and chocolates; choosing just one is all but an impossibility.

Just along from El Aderno, you will see the charming 16th church in the heart of the town, fronted by a pretty garden where you can take shade under the trees. Behind the church is a tidy little playground for children.

Supermarkets are plentiful and there are many shops in the town selling locally handcrafted items, such as baskets and woodworks. There are a few sedate bars and restaurants in the town or, for the best spot to watch the sunset, you could head down to the beach restaurant, El Burgado.

Nearby Attractions

Puerto de la Cruz is 45 minutes drive north and here you can go shopping, relax in the picturesque pools of the Lago Martianez or visit the impressive Loro Park. The picturesque coastal towns of Garachico and Icod de los Vinos are just 15-20 minutes drive east.

The beaches of the Costa Adeje and all the entertainments of the south coast resorts are approx 75 minutes drive away.
