Not really a great deal there.

A little bit off the beaten track, but the hotel provides a free shuttle bus to Punta Prima - the closest beach. It's also within walking distance - ca 1.5 km. Lovely walk along coast road to Cala Torret (1.5 km), Binibeca ( about 4km) and Binausfuller (about 6km). If you're looking for nightlife this ain't the place for you, just a couple of nearby bars. Aquapark being built over the winter months, which will make a difference, may even mean more buses to Mahon, but I think a few of the hotel regulars are greeting this with trepidation. They love the quiet location.

Biniancolla was a nice little village, but there wasn't a great deal around our hotel, the Sur Menorca Club. If you want a change from the hotel, there isn't a huge amount of choice.

Hotel put on a bus down to the beach. We stayed at the end of the season and it was quiet.

Beaches

The beach in Biniancolla is very small, just 35m long by 50m wide but it is sandy and quiet so it is an ideal place for a spot of relaxation. There is a bigger beach in Punta Prima which is not far from here.

Many people dive and swim from the rocks but there is a swimming platform and a ladder down for those who prefer to take the safer route.

Things to Do

There are no facilities as such in the resort which may be perfect for those who just want some peace and relaxation but Menorca's largest winery is just 2km away. You can wander through the vineyards at your own pace and get a sample of the wine or you can join the tour (for a small fee) and get samples of their wine, grape jelly and Menorcan goats cheese.

Out and About

There are a couple of restaurants here, one at Biniancolla cove and the other just a short stroll from there. There are no shops here so if you need anything you will need to venture to Punta Prima which is less than 2km away so no big deal really.

As well as a few restaurants, a cash machine, 2 supermarkets and a pharmacy, there is also car hire in Punta Prima which might be a good idea to explore the area.

Nearby Attractions

If you fancy the idea of a trip to the winery, you may also wish to visit the nearby distillery. Not only will you get to sample the gin but you can also try various strange liqueurs and tonics. There is also a liquor outlet and a souvenir shop so you may well pick up a bargain.

If you fancy a little shopping, you may want to take a trip to Mahon and have a wander round the craft and clothing market that is held in the main plaza every Saturday.

Not far from Mahon, you will find a fortress that was built between 1848 and 1875. There is so much to see as you go through the galleries, gun emplacements and barracks.
