Why Holiday in Benalmadena
If you fancy a taste of traditional Spain, Benalmadena Pueblo, home to the La Nina statue, is a beautiful village with narrow, cobbled streets and idyllic whitewashed houses. Many places in the area still display their Andalusian heritage. This culture can be explored through the architecture, as well as the festivals that are held throughout the year. History lovers can also head to the Medieval watchtowers along the coast.
For a romantic view, take the cable car to the top of Calamorro mountain. It’s a unique opportunity and at the top you can visit the bird sanctuary or explore the area on a donkey. If you prefer a more adrenaline pumping activity, then go-karting and quad biking are also available in Benalmadena.
Beach holidays in Benalmadena
Malapesquera Beach is one of Benalmadena’s central beaches and is ideal for family fun. The beach is backed by a promenade, lined with bars and restaurants, that run down to the award-winning marina. There’s also the popular Torre Bermeja beach, a great spot for hiring boats and jet-skis.
Food & Drink
The oxtail stew at Erase Una Vez restaurant is highly recommended and Restaurante La Fuente is great for families, serving a mix of Spanish and English cuisine with a backdrop of live music.
Nightlife
There are a range of venues located near the beachfront, and plenty of smaller bars and restaurants with a lively atmosphere to choose from. 24 Hour Square is a party hotspot full of nightclubs, sports bars, Irish pubs and more.
