Makadi Bay, Egypt
Makadi Bay is situated just 30 minutes south of Hurghada and is one of the most beautiful resorts on the Red Sea. The resort is excellent for watersports and has lovely sandy beaches and stunning underwater reefs.

A purpose built resort with a pleasant pedestrian centre with a choice of shops and restaurants, and large resort style hotels stretching along the coastline offering all the requirements needed for a relaxed holiday. Popular with families many of the hotels offer a variety of entertainment on-site including kids clubs, aqua-parks, sports facilities and play areas coupled with long stretches of gently sloping beaches.
An entry Visa is required for Egypt and costs approx 15 GBP per person.
Things to do
Makadi Bay is a great place to enjoy watersports from snorkelling to scuba diving and boat trips to kite-surfing, the crystal clear waters and golden sands make it ideal for beach activities. Much of the resorts entertainment is to be found within the hotels where many of the hotels offer organised activities, mini-golf courses, sports facilities, evening live shows, a choice of restaurants and bars often with live music.
There is also a golf course in Makadi Bay, along with horse and camel riding, while in the surrounding area there are a variety of excursions to choose from, such as visits to nearby Hurghada, historical sites and desert safaris.
Beaches
Beach shoes are recommended along the coastline due to the closeness of the reefs as often areas of sharp rocks and coral can be found.
