With a good street map it is possible to get around Naples easily by foot, though like any major city, public transport facilities are plentiful and provide a quicker alternative to walking. The city’s main train station is Stazione Centrale, it’s located in the Piazza Garibaldi, where there are also plenty of buses and a metro stop.
Naples has plenty of dining options available, but as the birthplace of the pizza, unsurprisingly pizza is found on many of the menus in Naples eateries; lookout for restaurants with the ‘Vera Pizza’ sign, as these pizzerias make their pizzas the traditional way.
If you’re looking for evening entertainment Naples has plenty of bars and clubs to offer, it’s also a city well served with opera, theatre and dance productions.
