San Antonio Bay

San Antonio Bay is deemed to be one of the most beautiful bays in the Mediterranean. The Bay has a relaxed friendly atmosphere and is perfect for strolling around. The Bay offers many cafes and bars (please note that this resort should not be confused with San Antonio). Transfer time is 25 minutes from Ibiza airport.

Beaches

San Antonio Bay is a beach lovers dream, with one main beach and five smaller beaches all within walking distance. The beaches are all connected by the shoreline path, this is also where you will find many bars which are open late.

The main beach is perfect for families with little ones being able to enjoy the calm, shallow waters while others may prefer to take part in the many watersports which are available. The smaller beaches tend to be a little quieter and just perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun. So whether it's an early morning dip or a leisurely stroll along the beach to watch the sunset, the beaches in San Antonio Bay are just beautiful.

Things To Do

Compared to San Antonio, San Antonio Bay is relatively quiet but there is still plenty going on with mini golf, play parks and bouncy castles. There is a good variety of watersports including snorkeling and scuba diving or take a trip on a glass-bottom boat to explore the underwater world. Boat trips to Formentera are also popular and a really good day out.

Another good day out is a trip to Ibiza's historic old town which is full of designer boutiques and home to a 13th century cathedral. The whole family will also enjoy a trip on the tourist train to Santa Ines, an authentic hilltop village. Ibiza's largest water park, Aguamar is not far away and is a fantastic day out for all ages

Out and About

There are plenty of bars and restaurants offering a variety of food, from international cuisine to authentic Spanish food. The bars can be fairly lively at night but if you want to party into the wee small hours then you best take a trip to San Antonio which is just along the road.

There are plenty of gift shops and souvenir shops in San Antonio Bay so if you are looking for a gift to take home or you need to stock up on sun cream then you will be sure to get it here. There are some specialist shops and designer boutiques in nearby San Antonio. Hippy markets can also be found in the nearby resorts most days and are great for trinkets, clothes and jewellery.

The Fiesta of Saint Bartholomew is held in August and part of the festivities includes a great firework display which is best viewed from the main square which overlooks the bay. There are other festivals throughout the year as well as various concerts that are held at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel which have included artists such as the Arctic Monkeys and Florence and the Machine, in recent years.

Nearby Attractions

There is also plenty going on in the surrounding area, from various boat trips to different sporting activities. San Antonio is also home to the Paintball Lounge Party which is a great day out and certainly something to get the adrenaline going.
