The Vila Porto Mare Resort facilities include 2 outdoor swimming pools, childrens pool and a heated indoor-outdoor pool. Further leisure facilities include a tennis court, mini-golf, billiards, table tennis, putting green, petanque, childrens playroom and playground. The resort Spa features 6 treatment rooms, 2 saunas, a Turkish bath, jacuzzi, Vichy shower, gym and an aerobics studio. There is also an entertainment programme for adults and children (seasonal).

The resort has 4 restaurants, 5 bars and an ice-cream parlour. Restaurants include Il Basilico for Italian a'la carte lunch and dinner service, Alfama for buffet breakfast and Portuguese cuisine, Atlantida buffet restaurant and Restaurant Med for a'la carte dinner service. The bars include 2 pool snack bars, a wine bar, entertainment bar and a hotel bar with daily live music.

Guest services include 24hr reception, 24hr room service, doctor on call, WiFi access in lobby areas, free internet terminal in reception, beach towels, laundry service, babysitting, car rental and parking. The hotel also provides a courtesy shuttle bus service into Funchal.

The Residence features 99 units, which includes studios, one and two bedroom apartments, all featuring a well equipped kitchenette with fridge, 2 electric cooking rings, microwave, toaster, cutlery, crockery, dining table and chairs.

All rooms are equipped with ensuite bathroom, bathrobes, hairdryer, direct dial telephone, internet access (local charge), air conditioning and heating, cable TV, DVD player, safe (local charge) and a furnished balcony or terrace. Apartments also feature an additional dishwasher.

The Residence occupies the west wing of the Vila Porto Mare resort, sharing the complex with sister hotels Porto Mare Hotel and Suite Hotel Eden Mar. The centre of Funchal is about 2.5km away.

The airport is approx 20km away, around 30mins drive.
