Beaches

Playa del Aguila is a small resort with a dark sand beach which is suitable for surfing and windsurfing.

The resort is separated from Bahia Feliz by a small dark sand and pebble beach to the east and, in the other direction, it neighbours the beach resort San Agustin. The beaches at Bahia Feliz and San Agustin are also popular for surfing, bodyboarding and windsurfing.

Things to Do

This stretch of coast is popular for watersports above and below the water. Playa del Aguila is just 16km from Arinaga, where you can go scuba diving amid the architecturally scenic El Cabron marine reserve and observe a myriad of colourful marine life.

In addition, the international windsurfing school at Pozo Izquierdo is just 14km away. Further watery adventures can be found at the Maspalomas Aqualand waterpark (9.5km).

Heading inland you could you could take a scenic drive through the ravines and rugged landscapes of the Barranco de Fataga and, from the pretty mountain villages of Arteara, (21km) you could continue to San Bartolome with the Manelos Camel Safari.

Out and About

The modern town of Vecindario is just 12km away, where you could combine a spot of shopping with a visit to Crocodile Park, an animal sanctuary at Los Corralillos (21km) which is home to over 300 crocodiles as well as a variety of zoo and farm animals.

For themed nights out, Sioux City and Garbos are both within approx 1.5km.

Playa del Aguila is in easy reach of a number of activities and visitors attractions. There is the Gran Karting Club in Bahia Feliz (2.5km) where adults and children of all ages and abilities can enjoy the adrenalin of the karting circuits. Over the road from there, you will find the Sky Dive Centre and the Bahia Feliz Aerodrome.
