Gibara is a Spanish style fishing town with colonial architecture that was once a rich port at the peak of the sugar and slave trading days. Here you can visit the Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Colonial Art, relax on one of the 3 beaches, see the charming Church of San Fulgencio and the remains of the Fortresses that once protected the port.
