The resort is a mix of several beaches, traditional villages and modern developments with something for everyone. Although the resort is busy at night it is not just as lively as the likes of Malia.

It would be described as a cosmopolitan / fashionable town which is renowned for its plentiful array of cafes, restaurants and discos. In Hersonissos you can spend your days relaxing on the sand/shingle beach with its many coves or exploring the local villages with charming taverna's and pretty quaint Greek houses. Then at night the choice is yours from a typical Greek taverna to one of the numerous English pubs that line the seafront. Transfer time by coach is approximately 1 hour or 40 minutes by taxi.
