Gran Bahía Príncipe Bávaro is located on the south coast of the Dominican Republic, just 50 kilometres from Santa Domingo airport (45 minutes by car) and 25 kilometres from La Romana airport (35 minutes by car). It is 60 minutes from the town of Higüey, in the province of La Altagracia.

The facilities are extensive with two large, lake-type pools one for adults and one for children and spacious solariums and gardens with sunshades and loungers. There is a towel service at the pools and beach, a mini-club for children aged 4-12 years, an amphitheatre for entertainment and shows, tennis courts, mini-golf, aquatic activity centre and sub aqua centre and a spa with a fitness centre.

All other rooms have either 2 full size (1,36m x 2m) or 1 king size bed ( 2m x 2m), a sofa-bed, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a fully equipped bathroom with a hair dryer, satellite TV, direct dial telephone, a private safe (extra charge), mini-bar and terrace.

All seven restaurants have air conditioning and serve exquisite local and international cuisine and there is a pool bar, beach bar, piano bar and snack bar. Fully Inclusive facility drinks are served until 23.00 hrs. There is a burger bar open 24 hours a day.
