Georgioupolis offers visitors a local pleasant village and is a small place that offers charm and Cretan atmosphere despite the many hotels and places to stay. The resort does offer some stunning landscape, vineyards and olive groves and a beautiful sand/shingle beach. Although there is lots to see here and in the neighbouring resorts it is relatively quiet and may not suit young couples and families looking for plenty of entertainment.
Georgioupolis weather
The village is relatively unspoilt and visitors can witness local wildlife and watch the nesting turtles along the sandy beach. The transfer from Chania airport is 1 hour.
