The hotel complex includes a freshwater swimming pool and a sea-water pool, several sunbathing terraces, childrens playground, three bars including a pool snack bar and a hotel bar with games and billiard room. Dining choices include five restaurants, including a buffet restaurant, seafood restaurant, speciality restaurant, Italian pizzeria and a pancake house.

The Health Club situated at the Sport Hotel Galosol is open to all guests staying at Galo Resort Hotels and features include a well equipped gym with weightlifting area and a cardiovascular area with cross-trainer equipment, running machines and bikes, indoor heated pool, 3 squash courts and fitness classes such as aerobics, step and yoga etc. Further sport facilities and activities include table tennis, basket ball, volleyball, football, badminton, mountain bike rental, golf service and a diving base. The Spa & Wellness centre provides Ayurveda spa treatments, beauty treatments, massages, physiotherapy, Thalasso treatments, jacuzzi and saunas.

Guest services include 24hr reception, guest relations, vintage car rental, WLAN zone and internet corner. The hotel also has it's own bay with an underwater nature reserve with direct sea access via stairs or lift.

The hotel is situated on the seafront, on the edge of a cliff 30m above the ocean. The centre of Funchal is just 8km away, around a 10min drive
