Facilities include 2 swimming pools (one heated in winter), with adjoining jacuzzi, children's pool (heated in winter), sun terrace with loungers, parasols and towels, a poolside and swim-up bar, 3 bars, a games room, gift shop and internet access (local charge). Complimentary sun loungers and parasols are available on the beach.

Dining options include; Espargos' the main restaurant with outside terrace, Mandalay Asian restaurant and Mambana poolside restaurant (African restaurant), Cabo Verde (Cape Verdian speciality restaurant) situated in the Riu Funana and Santa Maria Barbecue restaurant also at the Riu Funana.

Facilities shared between the ClubHotel Riu Garopa and ClubHotel Riu Funana include the beach bar, nightclub, wellness centre with different treatments, beauty salon and massages (local charge), gym, jacuzzi, sauna, hairdresser, mini-club and children's playground.

Please note that use of the gym, jacuzzi and sauna is restricted to guests over 18 years old and sports shoes are compulsory when using the gym.

A total of 500 rooms including junior suites and suites, are spread between the main building and two storey annexes. Rooms are provided with private bathroom, hairdryer, central air conditioning, telephone, ceiling fan, mini-fridge, satellite TV, safe deposit box and a balcony or terrace.

On entry into Cape Verde, you are required to obtain a visitors visa. This is approximately 28 to 42 Euros (subject to change).

The airport is approx 15 km away.

All Inclusive 24 hours includes; all meals and snacks: breakfast buffet and on the spot cooking stations, Continental breakfast/snacks, lunch buffet with on the spot cooking stations and assorted desserts, light fare at the poolside restaurant, cakes and coffee, dinner buffets and dishes prepared on the spot, special evenings with theme buffet twice a week. Optional dining (reservations required in advance) at Asian cuisine, African cuisine, Grill and Cape Verdian cuisine. Snacks, domestic and imported beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks) are available 24 hours a day.

Leisure facilities include table tennis, workout, shuffleboard, airgun shooting, aqua-gym, beach volleyball, multi-purpose sports pitch (tennis, mini football, basketball), racquets and tennis balls (deposit required), gym, jacuzzi and sauna, kayaking, body boards, snorkelling equipment and one introductory scuba diving lesson in the pool. Entertainment programme includes daytime for adults and children ages 4 to 12 (daily), the Hobby club (six times a week), live music, shows or Riu evening programme (daily) and complimentary entrance to 'Pacha' night club and drinks (open six nights a week).

All hotel guests are required to wear an 'all inclusive' wristband for identification purposes.
