Facilities at this hotel include a 24 hour reception desk with currency exchange service and internet access. Additionally there are gift shops and a hairdresser.

Dining options include a main restaurant with terrace, lobby bar, lounge bar and plaza bar. Guests also have use of the restaurants at the neighbouring ClubHotel Riu Garopa.

Guests can relax by one of the two swimming pools where there is also an adjoining whirlpool. One of the pools is heated in the Winter. The pools are surrounded by a sun terrace furnished with sunbeds and parasols. Guests can also enjoy a refreshment at the swim up poolside bar.

There are many activities for guests to enjoy including beach volleyball, aerobics, billiards and a multi-sports field offering mini football and basketball. Guests can also play table tennis, shuffleboard and introductory scuba diving lessons are available in the pool.

For the younger guests there is a childrens pool (heated in the Winter), kids club (ages 4-7 years and 8-12 years). There is also a playground.

There is a evening entertainment programme with live shows and there is also a nightclub.

The hotel consists of 500 rooms. Standard rooms sleep 2 adults and 1 child up to 12 years and there are some interconnecting rooms which sleep 2 adults and 3 children. Family rooms have twin beds and sofa bed for 2 adults and 2 children.

All rooms are air conditioning with en-suite open plan bathroom, hairdryer, mini fridge and telephone.

Special Information

On entry into Cape Verde, you are required to obtain a visitors visa. This is approximately 28 to 42 Euros (subject to change).

The hotel is situated on the beachfront just 1.5km from the resort of Santa Maria.

The airport is 30 minutes away.
