Things to Do

A great way to see the resort is to jump on board the tourist train that will take you on a 30 minute trip to the resort of Rocha Prava and back again. The train leaves every 40 minutes between 10am and 10pm. Times may vary depending on season.

If you enjoy walking, venture up to the Cabo de Carvoeiro lighthouse which can be found on one of the many cliff walks in the area. You will also find the remains of the Fort of Senhora da Conceicao and the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Encarnacao which was destroyed in 1775 and rebuilt again in 1942 and more recently, 1965.

As well as a range of watersports at the beach and two diving schools, there is also tennis, golf and horse riding available in Carvoeiro.

There are also a lot of boat trips available, from trips to the nearby caves, a little dolphin spotting or simply a leisurely trip along the coastline.
