Bloemfontein is the capital city of the Free State Province of South Africa, known as the City of Roses. The city is full of well preserved historical buildings, an Anglican Cathedral, Dutch Reformed Church, a National Museum and the National Afrikaans Literary Museum. Bloemfontein also plays another important role in being the third capital of South Africa as it is the seat of the South African Supreme Court. The city has headquarters for food, glass and furniture industries as well as many shops, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, agricultural and historical sights to see. Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg can be reached by rail or road. Some of the recreational and entertainment facilities include swimming pools, parks, a zoo, a game reserve and sports facilities.
