Barlovento

Barlovento is a town and municipality in the North East of La Palma. It is known as the centre for farming and has easy access to both Santa Cruz de la Palma and Caldera de Taburiente. In the resort you can enjoy visiting Igelsia de Nuestra Senora, 16th and 18th century Spanish sculptures. Fiesta de la Virgin del Rosario festival is held here every 2 years. Tourists and locals come together to recreate scenes from the battle of Lepanto in 1571. La Palma Airport is approx 24 km from Barlovento.
