The hotel is situated in Limassol and is located 60 km from Larnaca and Paphos airports.

The Amathus offers 200 metres of sandy beach, a fresh water swimming pool, competition size pool, East Pool with fresh water (adults only), underwater music, large heated indoor pool and hot water hydro massage pool for relaxation and therapy. There are 2 floodlit tennis courts, table tennis, video game machines, a pirates ship playground and a children's fresh water paddle pool (depth 0.60cm). A children's playground is available for young guests and during the summer months and Easter, activities are provided for children aged 4 to 12 years.

There is a Life Fitness and Nautilus/USA Gym Centre where guests can enjoy an aerobics studio/fitness centre that is equipped with all of the latest technology, electronic Nautilus equipment, sauna and steam bath. You can also find fitness training, aerobics, hydrotherapy treatments and a relaxation area. The beauty treatments available for guests include classic massage (with essential oils), mineral cream for relaxation, body peeling (with genuine crystals), mineral baths, mud wraps, anti stress treatment, rheumatology treatment, relaxation treatment and fitness shaping treatment. There are special relaxation and beauty programmes and packages to suit individual needs.

The hotel offers guest many choices of dining. The Ambrosia Restaurant serves international cuisine and guests can choose from a table menu of tasteful local and international specialities, an a la carte menu and themed evenings. The Kalypso Garden Restaurant is located at the pool level with a terrace overlooking the hotel gardens and views to the sea and pool and offers guests buffet breakfast, buffer lunch and an a la carte menu for dinner (snack, home made dessert menu, and children's menu available). The Limanaki Fish Taverna offers guests a romantic setting located just metres from the sea and offers a variety of fresh fish dishes, Cypriot appetisers and wine from a great selection (open May to October). The La Rotisserie offers guests an exclusive a la carte selection of fine local and international meals. The Dionysos Bar has views out over the pool and the sea and here guests can enjoy a drink or try one of the cocktails while listening to the pianist. The Helios Beach Bar offers guests freshly squeezed juices or tempting long drinks. The Kalypso Buffet Terrace is located between the two outdoor pools and provides solitary surroundings for guests. The hotel operates various theme evenings (Cypriot, Italian and Mexican) and carveries from May to October.

The hotel offers 199 deluxe rooms across the four floors of the main building (103 seaview, 96 inland view). All deluxe rooms feature twin or double bed, individual controlled air conditioning, direct dial telephone, minibar, music system, complimentary safety deposit box, satellite TV, play station, internet, bathroom with shaver point, bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer and telephone extension. Seaview rooms have spacious balconies and inland view rooms balconies have been converted into luxuriously furnished sitting rooms.
