Chris Brown

Role: Managing Director

Despite what people who meet me think, I have never been educated in travel, web marketing or web development. I left college at the age 19 having studied for a diploma in hotel management and 9 months after working for a hotel in Hertfordshire, I decided that maybe I had made the wrong career choice and I packed my bags to travel the world.

During my teenage years, I was lucky enough to have grandparents who took at least 4 holidays a year and always took me along. By the time I had returned from my travels, I had an extensive knowledge of travelling abroad.

Having sold our first website (holidaywatchdog.com) to Expedia, I now spend my time managing the sunshine.co.uk office and staff in Fleet, Hampshire. They aren’t a bad bunch and their tea making skills are slowly improving under my careful guidance.

Favourite sunshine.co.uk Holiday Destination
Walt Disney World, Florida :)

What do you do at weekends?
Mostly look after my three young children, which is sometimes tougher than trying to run a company! I enjoy a bit of British Touring Car action too when its race season.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
That’s an easy one, an Airline Pilot. Then I realised I wasn’t brainy enough and settled on a Policeman instead, obviously you can see that one worked out too.

What's your brew?
Tea, white no sugar. Has to be made in a specific order: tea bag, milk then hot water. Then leave for 2 mins and DON’T squeeze the tea bag too much when you take it out.

That's a nice job title, what do you actually do?
I oversee the office and deal with the day to running of the company.

Best thing on telly?
Lost, Stargate and Time Team

Worst thing on telly?
Holby City! I hate that program.
